Do you allow refunds or exchanges?

Once orders are locked down and charged, we do not offer refunds or exchanges. You will be notified via email before we lockdown your order, which will allow you to remove or add any items before you are charged. The reason we cannot offer refunds is because this is a crowdfunded campaign and pre-order store. This means that once all the orders are charged, we order the exact amount of each item that we need, and once the money is spent to manufacture items, we cannot get those funds back. This means that if you order a sweatshirt, t-shirt, or ring, and the size is incorrect, we cannot guarantee that we will have a replacement size, which is why you cannot exchange these items.

We will only offer a refund on a case to case basis if you have extenuating circumstances, or if an item was damaged in transit. If we do offer a refund the backer pays return shipping costs, and the refund is the cost of the items minus the original shipping fees.

What about the freebie goals?

There are three freebie goals that will come with each Kickstarter pledge that was $8 or higher, not including shipping. If you pledged during the Kickstarter campaign, you will see three questions on your survey asking if you’d like the freebie goal.

What is your policy on customs or VAT?

When shipping internationally we will make every effort to properly fill out customs forms. We will abide by your countries customs and shipping laws, which means we will denote the package value as the cost of your order. We are not responsible if your country holds your package and requires extra payment to release it. We will also not offer refunds if your country holds your package and requires extra payment.

How can I contact you directly?

In the top left corner of our Kickstarter page you’ll see our Snarky Co. Avatar, and created “By Liz”. Click on either of those which will bring you to a window with a blue button that says “contact me”. That button will allow you to direct message us privately.

Will you ship to countries other than the US, UK, or Canada?

The answer is possibly or maybe?

Please contact us directly with which country you want to ship to, and we’ll let you know if it’s possible. If we agree to ship to your country, please choose The U.K. option as your shipping country. When you let us know which country you want to ship to, we can’t guarantee an exact shipping rate, but we will give you an estimate. Once the campaign has ended, you will be able to choose your correct shipping country on your BackerKit survey.

Will the pins look exactly like the pictures?

The pins may or may not look exactly like the pictures. Please note that minor changes may occur in production, and that the images presented here are mock up designs. There is a possibility of slight changes in color and size

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
